Cambridge Weight Plan Stage 2 and what my DH thinks

Yippy, I am on stage 2 which involves eating my own dinner.

This morning I had my first meal which is the lovely Apple and Cinnamon porridge/oats. Lovely meal but I am feeling hungry 2 hours after. I guess that's because I haven't been drirnking my water. I am going to gulp some glasses down in 2 seconds.

Ok, 2 glasses down and am feeling okay.

This morning I had this funny conversation with my DH.

DH: Babe, are you worrying about anything?
Eve:No o, am great, why?
Your child bearing hips are going down
Eve: Really, am just watching my weight a bit, didn't you notice I was getting too big
DH: Who told you that, I love you just the way you are, and those hips are priceless to me, besides I need to hold those love-handles o, so be careful what you are loosing.
Eve: Ok sir...have a great day ahead, am running late for work.

He he he, I was laughing all morning.

Today, I also joined a chat group to stay motivated on my CWP and my future maintenance.

And remember yesterday I told you guys I won't be cheating on Tuesday and honestly, I didn't, I woke up a bit weak this morning, but drank a glass of water, settled for my porridge and Yes, I was back to my normal self.

Cambridge diet required tools - pictures

5 litre water

Kitchen scale

Small plate and small bowl for lunch

Cambridge Weight Loss Plan 1st week 10pounds/5kg lost

Oh I cheated during my CWLP but I still lost so much. I was drinking lots of water too, over 2.5-3 litres maximum.

Below is how I got on for Week 1

Day 1-On Plan
Day 2-On Plan
Day 3-Had 2 malted biscuit by Tesco (1 biscuit = 44 calories)
Day 4-Very little fried-rice, 1 Chicken Drumstick (It was my MFM church’s 5th year anniversary so I couldn’t resist the rice)
Day 5-1 banana, 7 malted biscuit by Tesco
Day 6-Had 2 large boiled eggs, 2 medium corn on the cob
Day 7-Still on it, am determined not to cheat as am so excited about my loss so far.

I am so happy, I lost 5 kg in the 1st week, my consultant was full of praises, and I am glad I made it.

Before I had a baby, I weighed 80kilograms.

After the baby, breastfeeding for 9 months, and watching my weight during baby days, I became a lovely size 16, weighing 90kg.

Read my other posts to check out all the different diets, exercises etc that I tried for over 18 months until I decided to try CWLP last week and I have lost a whopping 5KG.Yes so I am down to 85kg today.

I am most certainly still overweight on a size 14 now.

My target weight is 75kg which takes me down to a size 12 and yes I am all done.

One of the reasons why I love Cambridge is they are focussed on the maintenance stage which is one of the most important stages of weight loss. I noticed over the few years that I find it easy to lose the weight on a planned diet but pull the pounds back on once I reach my target weight. My consultant (bless her) told me today that I have graduated to Stage 2 which involves the below:

1 Porridge/Oats in the morning.
1 Shake in the afternoon.
1 Soup in the late afternoon.
1 dinner (normal meal) prepared with proteins and vegetables before bedtime.

This sounds like something I can follow easily for a long time.

I went the extra mile and got a kitchen scale at Tesco's. I am going to measure the chicken, meat, pork, etc that I will be making my dinner with to ensure am following the plan dutifully.

I also bought myself a small plate for dinner. I am going to stick to smaller portions and not the regular big meals.

Just want to say if you are trying to lose weight and have tried so many methods/plans/diets, I will advice you to try Cambridge, it sure works.

I will be back tomorrow with how I get on.

No more cheats since I have my regular meals for dinner now.

Ciao!!!

Why I Chose the Cambridge Diet Plan and Survival on my 1st week

It's my 1st weigh in today with my Consultant and am excited as I feel lighter already.

I must confess I have promised to do my best on this diet but it has been impossible, will tell you about my sins in my next post.

As mentioned in my earlier posts, I believe Cambridge is one of the best diets with results-coming from my 15years diet experience.

These are my reasons:

1. A wide variety of shakes (over 10 different types of shakes) unlike Lipotrim diet, I was stuck with chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and soup flavour. The soup was terrible and sometimes I ended up taking only 2 shakes daily.

2. Shakes taste really great- due to a wide variety, I always look forward to each new flavour daily, the cappuccino flavour is so nice, also chocolate mint flavour, banana flavour-this made me feel like I was having a real banana and other shakes on the Cambridge weight plan taste really good.

3. Breakfast is oats- On the Cambridge weight plan; the breakfast is oats which is same as people’s regular breakfast. Eating oats every morning is healthy, and the oats are in 40g packs with a calorie intake of about 144 calories. I don't feel like am replacing any meal in the mornings wince I started Cambridge because oats are our everyday breakfast meals anyway.

4.Dinner is soup- For me, I have been adding a little pepper to spice up the hot soups and the soups provided by CWLP taste really really okay, they taste good, if you are on other steps on CWLP, you can add chicken chops and spice to the soups and that is your dinner all settled for the day, or you can have soup for lunch. I also do not feel like am replacing any meals when I have the soup as normal healthy people have soups as lunch or dinner anyway.

You see why I chose this Plan, even though it's meal replacement, but you are replacing with normal meals only in smaller portions which should be part of your life style anyway.

I see myself shedding off the pounds with Cambridge and going forward during my maintenance period , I will eat the oats as breakfast and soups as my lunch or dinner with another main meal for up to a year to ensure I remain on track.

Also, I may buy a kitchen scale and measure my oats in the mornings and eat soup with lamb, chicken, or meat chops in a small bowl for dinner or lunch to save money!!

Whoop!! Whoop!!! Off I go to my consultant for the 1st weight check and I will tell you how much I have lost and the sins I committed in the past week on Cambridge.

I feel sexy in this dress and tights so far!!

Best diet is Cambridge, writing from 15 years of experience

Hi Lovelies,

I have tried all diets currently on Google-lol, and when I write tried, I mean I have dutifully Googled, researched, analyzed each diet and carried them out accurately. My final conclusion is if you want to really lose weight, try CAMBRIDGE WEIGHT LOSS PLAN.

The previous diets I have tried are:
Atkins, Lipotrim, Cabbage soup, Insanity, P90X

Others include 5:2, Starvation.

You will agree with me that the first three are meal replacements which involves a lot of commitment and strong-will from the user, while the last 2 are exercise focussed which tells you that I am an expert in weight loss strategies i.e. I am not lazy to wake up 6am every morning and exercise for an hour, before getting dressed for work, get my son ready and resume into the office for 9am on a daily basis for 3 months.

I must confess that I have achieved great results from Lipotrim but I gained the weight back once I stopped within 3 weeks.

With the exercise regimens like P90X and Insanity which I carried out for 3 months at different times, I found d myself looking well toned, sexy, flat stomach, more strength, and a lovely size 12 frame but once I stopped exercising, I gained the weight back on over 4 months which tells us the exercise plans are much healthier and better than meal replacements if one can continue forever. Excuse me….…I don’t want to exercise everyday all my life.

I have written all these different weight loss styles out to let you guys know that all weight loss plans have the same effect for me, I mean regardless of eating right with exercising, once you stop the weight reduction plan, there is a 98% chance that one will put the weight back on.

This is to all my critiques that keep discouraging me about Cambridge Weight loss plan, I hear a lot of friends say to me.

"O dear, since it's meal replacement you are sure to gain the weight back on"

Dear friend, I will like to explain to you that there is a high chance of gaining the weight back even if you are at the gym daily and eat the right foods for a period of time, once you stop going to the gym and continue your regular lifestyle, you are going to gain the weight back.

Oh, I have a meeting now; will blog the rest of this in my next post.

Next post will be about my Cambridge diet and why I chose to try Cambridge

Ciao!

Cambridge diet-I must lose this weight

Hi All,

I was reading how to survive the Cambridge diet on-line and found a post stating keeping a blog will motivate you during the Cambridge diet.

I immediately launched blogger and came up with yoyodietmum.

I won't bore you guys much on here, feel free to post comments and please no negative words as staying positive is key to happiness in life.

My name is Eve and I am very fat, I am so ashamed to tell you how much I weight. I am 30 years old, and I remember during a weigh in session in High school, my teacher adviced me to lose some weight as I was way bigger than my age mates. That was one bad day and I cried myself to sleep.

I really feel bad and hate the way I look but it’s not my fault, I eat right, I eat when am hungry, and I eat the right foods, so please don't bore with all those as I have heard it over and over again for over 10 years. Unfortunately, the type of meals I was brought up with is high in Carbohydrates and I suspect this is part of why I am overweight.

I have been a yoyo dieter for more than 15 years, I find myself going thin today, fat next month, then starving myself for like 3 days, I check the scales and I have lost 4kg,  but then I put it back on again and again. I find it quite easy to lose weight but keeping it off for a long period of time i.e Weight Maintenance is the problem.

Weight maintenance is every big looser's worst night mare, it's the hardest thing on earth. Sometimes, it's easy to stick to an exercise regime or diet for 3 months, shed the desired amount of weight but once you stop and start your normal life back, over a few months, one will find out they are back to square 1 and gained all the weight or even more back.

Please feel free to share your ideas/advice on weight maintenance after weight loss below.

Check my next post about my past diets and my current diet.

Thanks for viewing! Ciao
